If your H-1B visa was denied due to Section 217(a) (misrepresentation of documents), you must wait for a specific period before reapplying. The waiting period varies depending on the circumstances surrounding the misrepresentation. It can range from 6 months up to 5 years.nnTo determine the exact waiting period, consult with an immigration attorney or refer to the USCIS Policy Manual: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-c-chapter-3nnOnce the waiting period has elapsed, you may be eligible to apply for a new H-1B visa. However, it is essential to address any issues that led to the initial denial and provide accurate and complete information in your application.

How did you come into Software, your Degree is in Mechanical Engg?
I applied for F1 visa for MS in 2006, but my visa got rejected under 214 b for 6 times due to too many backlogs in Eng and insufficient funds at US Embassy Chennai India. For 1st attempt,I missed the communication.I could not explained the reason for backlogs properly. For next 3 attempts, they rejected based on my backlogs. Because they didn’t asked about my bank statement, CA etc. For last two attempts I convinced with my backlogs as I got good scores in GRE and TOEFL. But they asked about my Loan, Bank statement etc and they are not satisfied with documents. Now I applied for H1B visa for 2010 quota and got approval from USCIS. I am going to attending interview at Mumbai on Dec 02nd 2010. What should I say, If Visa Officer ask about my past refusals?
