What happened if vxconfigd is disabled?
Answer / swamy naidu kollu
Basically vxconfigd is veritas volume manager configuration
daemon. It maintains disk configuration and disk groups in
Veritas volume manager.
When ever this (vxconfigd) is disabled it stops taking
requests from other veritas volume manager utilities for
configuration changes and also stops updating the changes to
the kernel and configuration information stored on disk.
So when ever this is disabled, we cannot work under Veritas
Volume Manager.
