Switch
1)operate @layer 2 data link layer
2)forward/filter decision using mac address
3)loop avoidance
4)Break collision domains
4)switches create separate collision domains but a single
broadcast domain
HUB
1)operate @layer 1 physical layer
2)no filtering
3)no addressing
4)hub creates single collision and single domain

GOOD TRY
NEED TO STUDY MORE
HUB-L1 DEVICE HAVING SINGLE BROADCAST DOMAIN AS WELL AS
SINGLE COLLISION DOMAIN
SWITCH-L2/L3 DEVICE HAVE SINGLE BROADCAST DOMAIN BUT
MULLTIPLE COLLISION DOMAIN
PLEASE READ THE TERMINLOGY BRODCAST AND COLLISON DOMAIN AND
IF DONUT UNDERSTAND FROM THERE READ CSMA/CD PROTOCOL THINK
U WILL GET WHAT IS THAT
OR TRY TO FIND OUT THE ANSWER THAT---

Hi,
Hub and switch both are used for connecting network systems
but the main difference between hub and switch is Hub can
support a maximum of 16 ports and whereas a switch can
support upto 64 ports maximum .The main difference between
hub and switch is in a Hub the bandwidth provided by ISP is
divided into all ports and so the internet access slow
where in switch Internet access is high when compared to
Hub as the same bandwidth provided by ISP is released at a
time to all ports on switch.
