Mr. M Haja Bahurudeen, Ur concept is little bit wrong.
Ping (Packet Internet Grouper) command is used to check the
remote host status,also used to self test the network
interface card of the computer, , not IP address. Ping
command use ICMP "Echo Request"& ICMP "Echo response"
message to perform its task.
