Hi I have joined a reputed MNC in June 2010 and now wants to travel to US for project related work. My company will be processing the L1 Blanket visa for me and under this category are there any restrictions like I have to be in that company for the last 1 year, because my overall tenure with my current company is only 7 Months. I Have already B1 visa and never travelled so far and now they initiated L1B visa for me.Please tell me whether they will reject L1B due to this?

Yesterday (22nd Oct) I had my L1B visa interview. The consulate rejected my VISA stating that I should go for L1 invidual VISA or H1B Visa. He just asked me 4 to 5 questions and then started writing something on the computer. The questions were: 1)My employer 2)My education: BTECH 3)My client , inidan salary and salary in US 4)the team size of project in India and in US. I had told around 50 in India and around 10 in US. I gave all the answers correctly. Can you please let me know the following: 1)what could be the reason of rejection ? 2)What should be the time gap before filing for L1 individual VISA again. 3)What are the chances of rejection of L1 individual visa? 4)What care should be taken next time during VISA interview? I was passed in 2007.did lectureship in engineering college for 2.5 yrs then did one professional course in 2010.from there i got placed to MNC now having 1.5yr of exp in software.Now my company wants to file L1 B visa for me.As dis visa is meant for people with specialized knowledge.Is this 3.5 yr of gap after my education and job will be reason for my L1 rejection.Do the visa officer check every educational certificate thoughrouly.I cant mention lectureship as my previous employer also.plz help I have my visa interview is on next week.

Do we have to face an interview for L1 visa or we just have to post all are documents and passport and if we are eligible they will stamp visa and mail it back to us????

Hi, I am from Non-IT background(B.E(EEE)). I have 1 year 10 months experience in the current project as well as my overall IT experience is same. I have attended interview for L1 Blanket at chennai consulate.The below are questions i faced in the interview. 1.What is your role in the project? 2.what is your specialization? 3.how many years of exp in XXX company? 4.what's your client name? 5.How many are there working in US? 6.what kind of application are you going to develop? 7.how many years of exp you have in this project? For all the questions i have answered well.but they rejected my L1 Blanket Visa. Please let me know what might be the reason for rejection? and how long i have to wait for next chance? Is there any way to get L1 visa. Reply please..Thanks in advance.

My Wife is working as Software engineer in one of the leading IT company , she already have approved L1 VISA , her company did not make use of it , we were trying to transfer her to USA directly through her company it does not seem to work , still not confirmed , now i am planning to bring my wife as depenedent(H4) to me , as i am in USA with H1 VISA , we have confusion , my wife not willing to resign until H4 is stamped , my doubt here is ,1. will a company allow to me apply for dependent VISA when she is working in a company ? 2. If they allow to process , if in case H4 is stamped ,she did not resign from job , if her company agrees to send her to USA using the same old company;s L1 , is it valid after getting H4 stamped ?
