@Vishalini
U need 2 character certificates. One from ur institute in
which u last studied and another one from a gazetted
officer. If u r working for the last one year or more u
might need testimonial. If u hav less than 1 year work
experience no need to specify it. Sorry I'm not sure abt
the format of testimonial.
@Lovish B
Why Banking. say..
"I want to work in an 'IT based service industry' where my
subject knowledge in IT can be used for the growth of the
organization and which provides me a good platform for good
career."
Then they'll ask then why B.Tech??
I don't know how much it will work. But a possible answer
is
"I chose B.Tech b'cos my parents wanted me to purse a
professional degree. besides it will not affect my
intension of securing a bank job since the basic
qualification for a bank job is a graduation in any
discipline."
Now.. find out some negative points about IT jobs which is
not there with Bank jobs.. and utilize it effectively in ur
answers..
Why IT???
"I selected IT just because of my curiosity about
computers. I just wanted to know about computers in depth.
But I never thouht of pursuing a career in software sector"
What do u know abt banks.
- Bank defn
- Bank services
- Role of banks in economy
- Then some blah blah blah as per ur grip in English.

Hi all,
i had interview yesterday. i am B.E.(mech). They asked me
about 20-25 questions in which there is no single question
from the Banking sector apart from that usual Sbi question
like who is the chairman? how many states have sbi? how
many ATM in india? Histroy about SBI? What r u doing here
being a engineer?
Some Current affairs questions and awards related questions
like who are among the Padmashre and Padma vibhushan? also
related to sports and olympics?
please take care of all the documents they have mentiond
coz they have rejected some of the applicant in my batch.
Be confident and ALL THE BEST to all you.
I Hope all of us will make throgh and will be colleges in

Hello All,
My Interview lasted just for 5 minutes.
Actually as it was the first day, the verification process
took so much time that my interview took place at 7 O'clock
in the evening. The candidates were called in 2 batches. 1st
batch was at 8.30 and 2nd at 12 noon. Mine was 2nd batch.
But the verification process was so much time consuming that
morning batch process got over at 3 pm. Then later afternoon
batch process started. In my panel there were 21 candidates
and my no. was 16. By the time my interview was there most
of the panel interviewers were exhausted and so were we.
So they just look around with my qualification and also
grades. They asked me just 3 questions that too very general
1) If you are getting Rs. ***** right now and also you are
into the field for which you have acquired
specialization(MCA) then why do u want to join a banking
clerical job which will hardly give you Rs. 6000-7000 pm
2) They they asked me about my hobbies. i mentioned
Traveling and Adventures as my hobby. So they asked me what
in Adventure you like ?? i said i like Trekking and have
been doing it for past many years.
3) Are you willing to relocate anywhere in the country ?
to this i said if the situation arises then i would not have
any problem atall (though it was a lie) but i would prefer
staying in Mumbai itself so as it would motivate me more
towards my work.
i really dont know how they gonna judge me on dis. but i
think they were just seeing my confidence level and also my
presentation skills.
Most of the candidates were asked this same question as mine.
HOPING FOR THE BEST !!!
ALL THE BEST TO ALL !!!

Feel free to contact 9492038751 Now some information regarding bank clerical interview is as follows : First Bank in India is Bank of Hindustan & General Bank of India, but they are defunt now. The oldest bank that is functioning today also is State Bank of India. It was established in 1806 by then British East India Company as a private firm in Calcutta as "BANK OF CALCUTTA". Later, its name was changed as "BANK OF BENGAL". In continuation to this, other two precidency banks were established in India at Mumbai - BANK OF MUMBAI (1840), at Chennai - BANK OF MADRAS. In 1925 these three banks were merged into one and named as "IMPERIAL BANK OF INDIA" under the control of Reserve Bank of India(1935). But after Independance of India in 1955 as per SBI act 1955, it was changed as "STATE BANK OF INDIA" with independent under Government of India. I have been selected for SBP but I have also had interviews in Bank of Baroda and Canara Bank. I am a bit confused whether to join or wait for other results to come out because according to the SBI advertisement selected candidates have to work in shifs if required and also travel if necessary. Can anybody tell me what is the notice period in SBP.
