Also there is no separate character certificate... They
have specified conduct and character in TC itself.

Please clarify that is it ok to submit TC instead of char
certificate.

Hey guys.....
I had my interview on 26th. The interview was super
cool... I'm an IT guy... They didn't ask me any banking
things... didn't ask even the usual "Tell me about
urself"... Here is the questions...

I was first told to explain the route to my home from the
interview venue... Then

1. Why in bank??
2. What u know abt banks???
3. What's ur interested field???
4. What's IT?
5. Some questions about Sanskrit, Kalidasan etc..
6. Subject questions...
7. Why I selected IT???

One interesting thing is that I had the same panel which
interviewed me for SBT clerical. So it made me more
confident..

Some tips..

- Be cool
- Ready with the required certificates and copies. Don't
run to take copies from the venue. It will increase ur
pressure.
- Be well dressed. Use tie only if u r comfortable with it.
- ladies can use churidar. But if ur height is grater than
5.5 feet use saree.
- knock before u enter the room. Walk strait
- greet women first
- say good morning 'Madam' not Ma'am
- Sit straight.
- Maintain eye contact. smile gently.
- If u don't know the answer just admit it.
- Use Sir or Madam frequently.
- use 'Mr/Mrs/Ms' when stating somebody's name.
- They don't expect single word or single sentence answers.
- But be specific. Do not beat around the bush.
- lean back to the chair. sit comfortably. do not change ur
posture frequently.
- If u need time to think ask them some time. If u keep on
thinking, they'll ask next question. You will just miss one
question.

in brief , that will be even more helpful to
people who have to yet appear.

They will have a bit more options , there are
many from IT field and all are just confused
that what answer they should give when they are
asked about it that why banking now ?
why you took IT first ?
what you know abt banks ?
where do u see urself in banks ?

anyways , good luck for results

three members in my panel....one guy was asking questions
related to banking...other two were asking about ur
technical qualification and general knowlegde questions...

questions were....

1.What is economic recession?
2.Where it was started? (US-Lehmann Brothers)
3.Was India affected by this recession? (I said our country
was not fully affected but IT Sector got affected)
4.Was Indian Banking got affected due to this?(No)
5.Why and How? (I said rules and regulations in our country
is good and strict,like BRA act 1949-Banking regulation Act
and RBI and Government took measures to prevent it from
going bankrupt)
6.What measures were taken by Indian government to avert
recession? ( Tax rate cut were announced and Government
infused more money into the market)
7.Why do u come to banking ,u being a BE graduate?(I said
job security is there unlike Private companies and im
interested in banking sector(it was a lie)...)
8.Who is the Father of Indian Constitution? (Dr. BR Ambedkar)
9.What is the largest State in India? (Rajastan in terms of
area)
10.What is a balance sheet?(I dont know. He said from
balance sheet only, profits of respective banks will
announced. I didnt get it....u guys make sure u get this
from anyone...im not sure abt this answer)
11.What is green banking?(Giving credits,advances and loans
to companies who are involved in green energy like WIND
ENERGY etc...SUZLON....see in today's BUISNESS LINE
newspaper, see last page SBI Chairman opened some SUZLON
office funded by SBI.....this question must have been asked
from this...)
12.What is ASSET LIABILITY MISMATCH?(i DONT KNOW.... PLease
someone answer this)

Thats it....i didnt answer two questions..otherwise it was
pretty ok.....
