the cube in 27 equal cubes of 1x1x1 then how many cubes

A 1x1 cube in the middle of an edge of the 3x3 cube will
have two faces painted. A cube has 12 edges, so the answer
is 12.

its answer is 12...the cubes xcept edges and the middle
cubes are those cubes.
if we have to find exactly three faces painted then its
anwer is 8.

for 2 faces that are oppposite:only edges =(2*8)=16
for the other four faces=(4*2)=8
hence a total of 16+8=24
therefore none of these is the ans
