what is slowly growing dimension??..

Answer / numbsyd

it's been days since the question was asked and no one
bothered answering, never mind. since i gained some knowledge
about the term 'growing' dimension after the question was
aked in the interview, i'm giving the answer.
among three SCD's, one updates the existing dimension
leaving no traces of history and lets ignore this, the
second stores historical data with a surrogate key and
maintains complete history, the third records partial history.

among all these, apparantly the second dimension is the only
growing dimension in contrast to the third SCD. they
sometimes call it Second dimension as well, you know why??
just because they could
