Answer / vikram

Complex report is a general question asked normally during an interview.
So when asked in interview you can say like this -

Almost every reports are complex in nature since it happened many times that, the user require some sorts of customization and thus reports get complexes.
then next, say about your project work , i mean the the work which you have performed in the reports while developing them or while customizing them.
Say the interviewer about the webi features which you have used and made the reports complex.
For instance - when we have multiple data provider and further we are using merge functionality then reports normally get complexes.
further say them few of the formulas and variables which you have recently used in the reports as i am pretty sure you won't remember all that you have used in past.
For instance when we have YTD functions in the reports and along with that when we got calculation context like (FOR ALL, FOR EACH, IN) then the reports get complex. Say the interviewer about the scenario where you have used these calculation context and why you have used.
Apart from that, let them know how you have resolved the errors which might have came while development of reports and how you further resolved it.
If you wish to say some more then you can go with the queries that you have done modification to enhance the performance.
More to it, if you got charts and cross tabs in the reports and along with that tables are there and further linking them and filtering them makes reports complex too.
