of a business, used for analyzing measures of one or more
levels.
With dimensions we can get a measurable quantity known as
facts . With this facts we can analyze the business levels
and helps in generating a report regarding the business.
Examples: geography, time, customer and product.

Cognos,BO.rtc.... so here they can analysis a product or
item 's across varies regions, departments, vendors.....
Drill up and Drill down is possible with the help of Dimensions.

Why we use stored procedure transformation?
If the source has duplicate records as id and name columns, values: 1 a, 1 b, 1 c, 2 a, 2 b,the target shd be loaded as 1 a+b+c or 1 a||b||c, what transformations shd be used for this?
I have 2records in target table and this record is deleted in source. Now if I run mapping twice how many records do target will have, source having 10records. Same with incrementally. Please answer me ASAP.
