why disodium tartarate used in karl-fischer instrument ?...

Answer / anil suryawanshi

M.F is C4H8Na2O8 Disodium tartrate Dihydrate having M.W is 230 so it's having two water molecules so M.W of H2O is 36 hence the calculation is 36*100/230=15.66 is water content standard value .... hence DST is very stable molecular therefore it is used in KF
