First we find response factor
response factor of impurity
=concentration of sample/area of impurity
RRF for unknown impurity is
=response factor of impurity/area of main peak.

Method-l:
RF of impurity=peak area of impurity/Conc.of impurity.
RF of analyte=peak area of analyte/Conc.of analyte.
RRF of impurity=RF of impurity/RF of analyte.
Method-ll:By linearity method.
RRF of impurity: slope of impurity/slope of analyte.
RRF correction:%impurity/RRF.

RRF calculation required same cons for impurity and main compounds solution. with help of HPLC this solution measured area response for Impurity and Main peak.
Then calculated RRF= Area response of Impurity/ Area response of Main peak

Answer / pramod br
Relative Response Factor (RRF) is an analytical parameter used in chromatographic procedures to control impurities/degradants in drug substance and drug product.
RRF is used to correct the difference in detector response of impurities with analyte peak. RRF is established by the slope method with linear range of solutions (usually +/-50% of the specification level).
RRF= Slope of impurity / Slope of analyte.

hii, i'm had a sample of 1L that gone through extraction & evaporation. i used 0.5ml of methanol for reconstitution before injecting the sample to HPLC. i made a calibration curve using a standard solution but now i'm confused about how to display the concentration i got from the sample. for ex. i got 0.2ug/ml how i'm gonna explane this is for the 1L ? please help .. i'll really appreciate it thanks
