I had a similar situation and I got L1 without any trouble.
There is't any cool down period for applying.

There is no connection between L1 and B1, L1 is an intra
company transfer visa which is a different catagory.

So, you can apply for L1 any time provided you meed the
requirements of L1 Visa such as working atleast for 1 year+
in parent/subsidary/group.

Kindly ask your company to appoint an attorny to get an
hassle free visa.

Right now I am working in India. I got an offer from a Company in US and they sponsored for my H1b and my petition was selected in the random selection. The Company A has told me to join them only after getting H1b i.e. in Oct'07. Simultaneously, my current company is filing L1B for me. My current company will be sending me to US as and when L1B comes. I don’t want to let go US Company offer which depends on me getting H1b in Oct. My Question is, papers for H1b is filed in Apr'07 by US Company, if papers for L1b will be filed now, what will happen to my L1B and H1B status? can i ahve both stamped? What will happen to my L1B if they process now.What i meant was that papers of L1B and H1b are being processed at the same year?

Hi, I went for L1B visa interview last week and VO told me that you are qualified but apply for H1 or Indivi L1. and he has written as Not clearly approvable on I129. so if i apply again what is the success rate? and he has not given me any slip and DD return also!!

I have done my +2 and then an open university degree and work experience of 6 years, regular education for 10+2=12yrs, and 3 years partime education. Hi i a mechanical Engineer graduate(non CS/IT) passed in 2007.I have an overall experience of 2 yr and 2 months in an IT Company.I am working since last 1 year in the current project.Am i eligible to apply for L1B blanket(My exp. is less than 3 Years).My manager wants me to travel to TEXAS but my company says it required 3 yrs of exp. for L1B blanket.If i am eligible then what is the chance of getting my VISA approved??
