what is the main difference between nse & bse operations ..

Answer / Gufran Abid

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) are two major stock exchanges in India. The main difference between them lies in their operational mechanisms and the types of securities traded:

1. Operational Mechanism:n - NSE is an electronic exchange, while BSE is a traditional open-outcry exchange.n - Trading at NSE happens continuously throughout the day (T+0), whereas trading at BSE follows sessions (T+1).
2. Types of Securities:n - Both exchanges trade in equities (shares), but NSE also offers trading in derivatives, such as futures and options.n - In terms of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and index options, only NSE currently provides these products.
