In direct tax the incidence and impact are on the same person whereas In indirect the incidence and impact are on the different persons

What is direct tax & indirect tax..

Direct tax is paid by employees to the government directly.
Direct Tax includes Income Tax, Wealth Tax etc. Income tax
is paid on Income of the persons.
Indirect tax is levied on goods and services and it is paid
through other persons indirectly. Indirect Tax consists VAT,
CST, Service Tax, Excise Duty etc.
