Difference in web based application,desktop application and
client server application?

web application means online application.
desktop application means static appliaciton.
client-server means it will run with help of appliation
server, browsers.

For web based applications we mainly check about look and
feel of GUI, and functionality.
For client server application we would check the
configuration of h/w s/w's and compatibility during the
installation.
Not sure about desktop applications. But something similar
to web based application we check.
