Hi,
Do not listen to the first respondant...
Make sure all paperwork is in order..
1. You have original I797 (H1 approval for your spouse).
2. Proof of marriage
3. Marriage certificate.
4. your spouse's two recent paystubb
5. letter from your spouse's comany stating that he is
still working for them.
6. your spouse's financial record (good to have in case
they ask).
7. make sure that you know which company your spouse work,
name of company, salary, how long working for this company,
how long working in USA, residence address, phone, etc,
etc... they may ask question to really make sure that you
are married and do know each other...
8. information about spouse family, no. of siblings, their
jobs, in-laws, their job (or retired), etc.
9. Last but not least, you need to PROVE that after going
to US you will not take illegal employment. If they about
you plan related to getting JOB (legal of illegal) clearly
and confidently reply some thing like... for next few years
my plans are "....... " ... OR I do not plan to do JOB...
but then be ready to answer question like.. How you really
plan to utilise your education???
Also Go over all the questions they asked you during first
interview and review all the answer you gave to them
(including how, where you responded clearly and confidently
or you stemmer or whisperd the answer, what was your body
language while interview... ) DO not give consession to
any of these.... review all the above and see what would
have lead to rejection (If not the mission or incomplete
paper work).
hope this helps...
G
specifically in current economic situation, please make
sure that the company sponsoring your spouse is not a well
known company make sure that you have 4 and 5 and if
company is public you know their stock symbol and download
their Public financial information from website (whcih
every public company files with SEC) OTHERWISE if the
company is a private company, then try to get all documents
which were submitted with spouse's H-1... these documents
will contain company's finanacial declaration (but these
may be old depending up on when H1 was filed)... but at
least might be helpful...
