DHCP (dynamic host congihuration protocol) is a protocol
used to assign ip address, subnet mask, gefoult gateway
dynamicaly.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
It dynamically assigns IP address to the systems which r
connected in LAN.DHCP server assigs the Ip addresses.
The procedure is as follows.
vn ever a system(c1)is switched on,it broadcast a packet
and this packet consists of its MAC address.vn this packet
reaches DHCP server,it cheks the MAC address table list
available with it.If MAC address of c1 matches with the
address table list it assigns any one IP address based upon
the scope given in DHCP SERVER.
Eg.scope of DHCP SERVER 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254
