hope you all are doing well n ready for interview too.. as
you all know , CRR has been cut to 7.5%... you know even
Iceland took over the control of the biggest bank of
country named Kaupthing...n the European bank representing
15 countries that use EURO as currency offered $100 bn
while the bank of england n swiss national bank each
offered $ 10 bn... Bank of Japan also punped $ 40 bn to
get the country out of financial crisis..

n the asin market that was said to be secure so far faced
a fall yesterday when the DOW had fall in prices..


do you know Citi Group is the first largest foreign bank in
India whereas Standard Chartered bank hold second
position.. n StanChar anad many more bank decided to pull
out of the real estate coz of rise in prices in metro
particularly.. as ya all knwo thsi real estate isnt doing
well n coz of stock market is also going down.. Gold is
glittering like anything.. and has touched the heights of
14000 and more..


and i read in newspaper taht inspite of being the largest
bank, our SBI has the minimal employee productivity..

and On Sep 20, RBI proposed to start the mobile banking
services enabling mobile users to make cash transactions
upto Rs 2500.. or Rs 5000.. nearly... but it would be
within country so far..

i m 12 pass with 85% marks(c.b.s.e).i have been
selected in written exams but tell me is there is any
chance to clear interview(bcoz of my qualification)

Hi Shivani,

Nothing to Worry. Any Gazetted Officer will surely sign in
a Character Certificate, if you tell them about your
Interview.

Yes . All CC must be recent dated.First get CC from your
Principal and with that Character Certificate go to any
Gazetted officer.

Show him /her the Original Documents with the Call letter
of Interview to trust you. Surely he/she will help you.

Contact any Government Doctors/ Govt. Officers / or you may
also contact the legislative member of your Constituency to
give CC in his / her Own letter head.

If not means , better type the format of CC clearly in a A4
paper and ask them to sign in it showing the documents

i finished my interview on 13th ...

nothing to worry... be cooool
questions asked to me:
since i am a comp. sci. student they asked what r d
languages i hv learnt i replied c,c++ and now i learning
vb... they asked the diff. bet. c and vb

then hw computers r used in banks?
earlier days v used maintain separate record for each n
every person who hv account but after being computersied
as v type the acc.no. it display all the details..
then dd forms were computerised,earlier it was written by
hand ... then core banking...

next i am a throwball player.... so they asked what's d
diff.bet throw ball and volley ball

as i hv won state level certificate in elocution i was
asked to speak abt. INDIA for 2 min.
then they asked me wat i like n dislike in INDIA...

since i'm 4m vandalur next to chennai , it comes under
kanchipuram dist. they questioned me "wat's imp. regarding
kanchipuram", i replied temples,dist.Head Quarter then
kanchipuram silk...

then they also asked me abtwat's imp. in vandalur

next wat do u know abt SBI
wat r the private banks ans. i replied ICICI and HDFC
full form of ICICI ? Industrial Credit and Investment
Corporation of India...

Wat r the nationalised banks?

since i am doing college ug final year they asked y do come
for job when u r studying.....I replied that the main aim
of studies is to know wat's going around us and the next
is to get the job .. when the oppurtunity knocks at me y
shdn't i use it...

then wat s u.s crisis

some of the ques. asked to mybatch members :
who is first women prime minister of india
who is the first women to climb mount Everest
then know abt. wat day is being observed on that particular
date that's yr interview date like animal protection day..
i think u get wat i am trying to say

only thing is, know abt. yr city , prepare little abt. yr
sub., some genearal knoweledge, current affairs try to
manage the situation as i said when i was wat sub. u r
interested i said nothing particular as i am student i cant
say that i like or dislike this or that sub... v hv. to
read all... so great escapism... they cant question me
abt. my sub.

do u hv d habit of reding the newspaper?
I replied since i am going to coll. i cant read
newspapers regularly.. but if i get time i will do...

one imp. question who is the chairman of RBI?
I replied asY.V.Reddy... but its not correct he was
replaced by someone recently.. sorrrrry i can't recollect
the ans,. given by them....

at last i would like to say one thing take 4 copies of yr
community certificate and bio data...

hi friends, i gave my interview 2day...cuz m an BMS
graduate i was asked questions related to mktg,economics,n
finance field...they asked me the foll questions:
1)tell me abt urself n ur fmly bckground?
2)why was there a huge dwnfall in share mkt?
3)xplain inflation?
4)what r partly paid shares?
5)wht is law of diminishing marginal utility?
6)how will u bhave with ur customers?
7)who is d chairman of SEBI?
8)what r d types of shares?
9)hw mch ws the gdp in last year?
and atlast what is ur aim in life?...i failed to xplain law
of DMU...but i said tht i'll surely update my knowledge abt

my interview was on 15th oct....went welll.

there were 4 members in the panel[3 sirs,1 madam].

questions asked to me :
1.what is kinetic energy & potential energy?

2.what is sebi, its functions & chairman of sebi?

3.u r frm engg. field,y in banking sector?

4.as my father is also a bank employee [punjab national
bank],they asked me abt him..which bank ur father is in.
i replied punjab national bank,then they said "hmm pnb has
just raised interest ratesdo u have ne idea abt that?"[i
coudn't answer this questn.]

5.what is the experiment goin on near europe & switzerland.
ans.the large haydron collider project.[big bang explosion
experiment].presently its closed due to some technical glitch.

6.then they asked wat will happen in the project.is world
gonna end due to this project?
i explained the whole thing & the concept of black hole for
2-3 minutes.he said very good

7.what is CBS?[core banking solution]

8.did u applied in pnb?
i said no sir there were no vacancies.

9.what if there are vacancies in pnb?wat u'll chooose pnb or
sbi?

10.what r the measures opted by the rbi to control the havoc
creatd by downfall of share market?
ans.reduced crr..due to which liqudity increased.

11.how much liquidity increased due to reduction in
crr?[60000 crores].

12.what should indian banks do regarding us crisis?
ans.i said presently as the finance minister & prime
minister of india had given statements that
indian banks are in strong position & there is no need to
panic & all the public money is secure,
keeping in mind these statements indian banks doesnt need to
do much..they shuld just keep giving statements thru media &
newspapers abt the security of funds, so that chaos creatd
by rumours could be avoided.

13.statements were also given by the american banks,,but
they r bankrupt now..wat u have to say abt that?
ans.i replied.sir in america statements were given by the
bank themselves not by american president or finance minister,
moreover banking system in india & usa r different.in india
without guarantee no one is allowed for the loan
where as in america housing loans were allotted in two
categories.
category 1-prime category.loan is given after having done
full paperwork & also a guarantee/guarantor is required.
category 2-sub prime category.in this category loans were
given even if all the papers necessary & the
guarantee/guarantor were not provided by the loan applicant
at increased interest rates.this sub prime category
caused the bankruptcy of various banks in usa.

father guided u for all this. right?
i said yes sir.plus internet & newspapers also helped a
lot...he said goood
