My interview is few days away and am applying for a us
student visa. I have completed my high school in 2005 and
after that did a one year course of computer till 2006 and
after that was helping my parents with there business till
2007 June. I then completed my swift course in NIIT which
was a four months course and in midway appeared for the
TOEFL exams. If the person asks what was I doing during the
free time, please help me out it is the matter of my career.

i am planning to have 12 month OPT period after i graduate so when the consul asks me how long do u plan to stay in USA do i say i will stay xyzmonth(program duration)+12month(opt)? or in another word do i have to take a visa period that covers both the program and the opt or i can take a visa period for the program and then extend the visa for OPT? just to make it simpler: if my program length is 2 years do i have to tell the consul to give me a 3 years visa to cover the program and the opt or i can have only 2 years visa and then extend it in USA? And does saying that i want to have OPT to the consul can be a bad point as the consul may think that i will work in USA and never come back?or i should be fine?

I have done my bachelor of pharmacy, secured an aggregate of 72%.my GRE score is 1190,TOEFL score is 87. no backlogs.i have got good interest for higher education and research. got admission into masters and recieved I20 from long island university, brooklyn campus.Going to face the visa interview within a week, are my scores considered low? what are my chances of rejection? what do i say why didnt you prefer India to study?pls let me know. Hi, I am Nakkul chowdary i completed my 10th 2000 and intermediate in 2002 with 56% in 10th and 61% in intermediate and my b.tech in information technology from 2002 to 2009 due with many back logs as many as 50 and with 53%.
