All answers are good but I am giving a small example for
baseline.
Example: - If you build a product for your use. Some of
your friends asked the same product with some changes. Then
your product is baseline, so u can build the product with
their request.
So Your Product is BaseLine. From Baseline only anything
can be done. as per my Knowledge. If I am wrong please tell
me ok.

after getting approval from the client the document got
freezed is oterwise called as baselined document.

Baseline Document:
It's a freezed document of specifications or requirements
after several reviews and that serves as the basis for
furture development process. Changes to this document can
only be made by a formal change control process. (SCM -
Software Configuration Management process comes into
picture).
