What is hot backup (in case of oracle)?..

Answer / Hemant Kumar

In Oracle, a cold backup, also known as an offline backup, requires shutting down the database before taking the backup. This type of backup captures the state of the datafiles at the exact moment when the database was shut down. After completing the backup, the database can be restarted.
