So, the 6 cats kill rats at a rate of 1 rat/min
and the 6 cats will kill 50 rats in 50 min.

Therefore, 12 cats will kill 100 rats in the 50 minutes.

The answer is 12.

The Answer Is 2 Not 12!
So 6 cats kill 6 rats in 6 minutes.
that means every cat can kill a mouse in 1 minute.
You just needed 1 cat to kill 6 rats in 6 minutes you did not need all 6 cats because that 1 cat could've killed a mouse one by one every minute and it would've still been 6 minutes.
So in 50 minutes 1 cat can kill 50 rats one by one every minute but 2 cats can kill 100 rats in 50 minutes.
