What is the difference between hits/second and requests/second?..

Answer / Rahul Prasad

Hits/second refers to the number of times individual resources within a web application are accessed, while requests/second refers to the number of actual HTTP requests sent to the server. In other words, multiple hits can be generated by a single request if an HTML page contains multiple images or files.
