I recorded a Web based Application running on JAVA and when I went to play them back a week later they didn't run. I noticed that the Browser was putting in a (Underscore and a Number) for each line so i re-recorded and noticed the Underscore line wasn't the same as what i recorded last week so any script I record today will not work next week because the browser settings or how QTP recognizes it keeps changing. This is the new line Browser("Bureau of Labor Statistics_4").Page("Bureau of Labor Statistics").JavaApplet("SurveyApplet").JavaList ("Select an Area").Select "U.S. city average" This is the old line 'Browser("Bureau of Labor Statistics_3").Page("Bureau of Labor Statistics").JavaApplet("SurveyApplet").JavaList ("Select an Area").Select "U.S. city average" Notice the Burearu of Labor Statistics_3 adn Burearu of Labor Statistics_4. Why does it change and how do I prevent it from changing.

How can I map test requirement to Test Set (multiple test cases)? Under test lab, I have multiple test cases. I would like to map 1 requirement to all test cases under that test set (in test lab)? Currently, I think QC only allow mapping 1 test requirement to 1 test case. Instead I would like to map 1 test requirement to multiple test cases under one test lab.

hi all, I have installed QTP successfully on windows vista. I am able to record and run on windows applications, but facing problem with web applications. While recording, I am able to open the web application, but when I click on any object or give login name and password, the events are not getting recorded in QTP. Could anyone solve the problem. Any settings to be done for web applications other than selecting web-addin? Waiting for replies. Thanks in advance.

Whenever i'm running 3 diffrent scripts in a Test Batch Runner as a batch. its not showing any result. QTP only runs all the scripts n nothing else. B4 running the test batch i have done all the settings, But still its not working.
