Why does it take longer to heat a bucket of water than a cup of water?

Why does it take longer to heat a bucket of water than a cup of water?..

Answer / Anoop Tiwari

It takes longer to heat a bucket of water than a cup of water because the surface area through which heat can be transferred is less for the bucket, as it has a smaller ratio of surface area to volume compared to a cup. This means that a larger amount of heat needs to be transferred through the bucket's smaller surface area to raise its temperature.
