Why does a glass filled with water shatter when you run your finger along the rim of the glass?
Answer / Sachin Varshney
When you run your finger along the rim of a glass, it creates tiny vibrations or waves in the liquid. As these waves reach the bottom of the glass and reflect back upwards, they can build up and stress the glass enough to cause it to shatter. This phenomenon is known as 'Cavitation'.
