As you are very beginner for software testing
first you should have a strong knowledge in manual
software testing concepts and methodolies.

Once if you get some command on manual then try the
automation tools.

Be rememeber always one thing-
"Automation is part but Manual is HEART!"
Without having sufficient foundation on Manual testing
learning automation tools is mere waste.

Hi Roopa,
First of all Congratualations for choosing testing.
personally i suggest you go through the Help files which
were provided with the software. No book is as good as
tutorials and other stuff provided with the software. This
is the Best way to learn the automated tools in Depth..

The book "Software testing tools" by K.V.V Prasad is good
book only to understand basic concepts of Manual
Testing.Thought it has few chapters for Automation they
dont really talk anything in detail.So if you want to
improve on your basis only then i recommend you this book
but if you are looking for any book only for Silk Test then
this book is not a good choice.

available in the market one sir I know who provides
trainings in Automation tools in Delhi NCR and have worked
