Answer / v vinay
let x is amount of work to be done to paint one house.
So Brown's one day work is x/6, black's can do x/8 work in
one day and blue is x/12.
Total houses is 3, so tatal work to be done is 3x.
3x= 8*(x/6) + 6*(x/8) + y*(x/12)
finally y = 11.
blue will complete the remaining work in 11 days.

11 days.Look at the rates at which each man paints a house.Mr Brown = 1/6 house per dayMr Black = 1/8 house per dayMr Blue = 1/12 house per dayMr Brown paints for 8 days -> he paints 8/6 houses = 4/3 housesMr Black paints for 6 days -> he paints 6/8 houses = 3/4 housesThere are 3 houses total, therefore there is 3 - 4/3 - 3/4 = 11/12 houses to paint.Mr Blue paints 1/12 house per day, therefore it takes him 11 days to finish the painting

answer is 6 days because
brown can take 6 days
black can take 8 days
blue can take 12 days
but
brown goes to vacation for 8 days
black and blue has started work for 6 days
black is 8 but he has painted 6 days
