is there any minimum work experience required for B1 visa
for USA?
Answer / amalraj
I attended the interview at chennai on 1 Aug 2011 for a B1 visa. I have only one year experience and i got my VISA approved. So its not the experience or the job that matters. I think it is your presentation and the confidence with which you face the Visa officer at the interview. Remember, the Visa officer, is asking you all the questions with constant doubt, if you will return to india, at the end of your assignment. I would suggest you pick up the list of questions asked to the different categories of interviewees and practice answering them loud and clear, before you go for the interview next time. Best of luck next time.

I am an Indian studying in Germany for the past 2 years (from 2007). In 2008, I applied for a B1 visa and got rejected. And the counsellor gave the reason that i am not staying long enough to travel USA. At that time, I have completed 16 months. Now, 2009, again I am applying. And my interview will be on 22nd april. In the last time and this time, I have proper documents for attending the conference. My question is : what they really want to know those who want to travel to USA for 4 days?

Hi! I got rejected for my visitor visa for U.S.A. I am a CA in India and have my own firm. I also work at a company as a consultant. When they asked about, what i do for living, i said i have my own firm and didn't mention about my consulting job. They gave me reason stating that they think i am going to stay in U.S.A. What proof or evidence i should take with me for the next time? If I mention about my consulting job, does it make any differences? they didn't even see any of my papers. Please advise.

I have been rejected B1 visa twice by US Embassy in Abu Dhabi. On both occassions I applied in name of my own trading business (invitation have been made by my US supplier) even though I actually work in Abu Dhabi under another sponsor. Also, both rejections happened in the gap of just one month. Now, after one month again I'm planning to apply one more time. But, it is through the company where I'm working (as my visa is with this company) and the invition will be sent by our associate company in US. Can someone advice the possibility of getting visa this time as on first two occassions I could not convince them with legal documents that Im actually partner of my business but third time Im using the application from our associate company in US. Anyone can kindly advice on what are the chances of getting US visa.
