GIVEN SERIES IS 0,2,4,8,14,24,34...........ALL THESE NUMBERS ARE WITH BASE 8 (OCTAL NUMBERS).
CONVERT THEM INTO BASE 10 SO,WE GET THE SERIES AS FOLLOWS.
0,2,4,8,12,20,28..........NOW OBSERVE THE DIFFERENCES..
0-2=2
2-4=2
4-8=4
8-12=4
12-20=8
20-28=8
THE NEXT DIFFERENCES SHOULD BE 16,16,32,32,64,64....SO WE GET THE SERIES AS 0,2,4,8,12,20,28,44,60,92........CONVERT THESE NUMBERS TO BASE 8. SO GET THE REQUIRED SERIES AS...

I think that 34 should be replaced by 40. then the series will be 0,2,4,8,14,24,40,66,108,176.........the difference will be 2,2,4,6,10,16,26,42,68......
as 0+2 =2. 2+2=4. 2+4=6.4+6=10. 6+10=16. 10+16=26. 16+26=42.
26+42=68............there fore 34 should be replaced by 40.
the series is 0,2,4,8,14,24,40,66,108,176.
