There are 3 baskets. one of them have apples, one has
oranges only and the other has mixture of apples and
oranges. The labels on their baskets always lie. (i.e. if
the label says oranges, you are sure that it doesn't have
oranges only,it could be a mixture) The task is to pick one
basket and pick only one fruit from it and then correctly

Answer / sandeep

Let the Initial status be
Basket label: mixed apple orange
Item in basket: apple orange mixed

Choose MIXED labelled basket, you found apple so label this
basket as APPLE . Now go to ORANGE labelled basket as we
know it should not contain oranges and we already found
apple from MIXTURE basket, so the remaining is mixed(apples
and oranges) so label it as MIXED and label the remaining as
ORANGE basket...

Answer / subbu

Assume that all the labels are misplaced.
Suppose Initial status
Basket lebel: mixed apple orange
Item in basket: apple mixed apple

Now pick one item from basket labeled mixed then you will
get apple. So basket labeled apple must have mixed and
basket labeled orange must have apple. Now label according
to them.

There are 3 baskets. one of them have apples, one has oranges only and the other has mixture of app..

Answer / nicholas namefield

There is no answer. Yes, start with the mixed basket.
However, if you pull either an apple or an orange from that
basket, you still don't know if it was mixed or not. This
is an impossible question with no answer, only optimistic
guesses.
