2-------------20--------------74-------------110-----------?
difference is difference is difference is difference is
18 54 36 108
20-2 =18
three time of 18 is 54
54+20=54
110-74=36
three time of 36 is 108 so next is 108
110+108=218
three time of 108 is 324 so next is 324 so 324+218=514
so series is 2,20,74,110,218,542.......

Why guys going in deep calculation.
Do it simple like me
....2.......20.....74......110........?
diff =.......18......54.....36........x.......
the third diff is twice of first diff i.e 36 = 18*2
so the fourth diff would be twice of second diff .
its 108
So the next number is = 110+108 = 218//.

Answer / mahaboobali
The correct answer is 182.
The Logic behind is 2, 20, 74, 110, ? ...
The diff between 20 and 2 is 20-2=18
The diff between 74 and 20 is 74-20=54
The diff between 110 and 74 is 110-74=36
So it is a multiple of 18 in this fashion 18 * (1, 3, 2, 4 and so on)
So the series is like after 2
2+18*1=20
20+18*3=74
74+18*2=110
110+18*4=182 and so on...

2-------------20--------------74-------------110-----------?
difference is difference is difference is difference is
18 54 36 108
double of 18 is 36.
double of 54 is 108.
so,next is double of 36 is 72. and 218+72 is 290.
and next is double of 108 is 216. and 290+216 is 506.
2----20----74----110----218----290----506
diff diff diff diff diff diff
18 54 36 108 72 216
so,series is 2,20,74,110,218,290,506....
