Checklist is the list prepared for to do things. for
example :- Teser has to prepare the checklist for testing
the application for pharma. so he/she has to follow some
guidelines for writting the test case to comply with the
pharmacetical domain

Basically checklist is defined as a document that will
actually figure out the various actions that need to be
taken care while performing action.
Basically we can have separate checklist for specific action
For Example:
If we have Checklist for Defect Logging the defect in defect
tracking Tool.
1. Entered Test type
2. Detailed Snapshots attached
3. Requirement against the synopsis of the defect
4. build number entered while logging the defect
5. Whether Self review on the bug attachment is done?
The basic purpose of having checklist is to maintain process.

checklists are only written for which are not software applications. For example if we have to write test case for pen,bottle,bike,etc. We will not write test cases for these, We will write checklist for these things, because these things are not software applications.
