Hi, I am applying for US Student Visa for MS Computer
Science. Here is my Score and Academic Detail
GRE => 980 (Q=680, V=300)
TOEFL => 65
GPA => 3.4
Now my question is that -
1. Can i get admission in any middle level Uni. with above
score and GPA?
2. If i get admission then can i get visa with above score
and GPA
Note: I have currently i am doing job and i have 2.5 year
experience as a Software Enggi.
Please give me answer as soon as possiable

Well My dear friend i strongly suggest u to write tofel
again.......get minimum of 79, because irrespective of what
GRE or GPA or work experience you have there is less
probability of getting i20...........as i got 69 in tofel
and i applied for 4 Unvi, with work experience....but i got
all of them rejected.....later i wrote toefl-i got
85.....and applied.I got admites from 3 out of 4
universities i applied which were better ranked than i
applied earlier set of 4......................so i strongly
suggest do not apply with this score & do not waste money
like i did......

I am called Nelson Adeson , I am in Cameroon - Douala , I
have admission into Dallas Baptist University to study
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Fall Semester 2011 , I
had my admission without Toef , what are my chancing of
getting a Visa , Dallas Baptist University is a Christian
University and i wish to know how i can answer the Visa
Officer if i am been ask the below question :
1..Why do you choose a Christian University .
2..Why do you choose to study Computer Science .
3..Why do you choose Dallas Baptist University .
4..Why did you not take Toef .
-Is they a disadvantages of mission universities Visa

- Is computer Science really a bad major to take to the embassy

Yes, you can try to get admission into middle level
Universities in USA with this score. More worry is of your
TOEFL score as normally US Universities are looking at 89
to 100 scores of TOEFL otherwise you need to take some
English courses alongwith main course or first ESL and than
main course. You can try to retake TOEFL, if possible
otherwise ready for ESL leading to MS.

As some above friend has said that you can take English
classes..........but i enquired about it from university
admissions office(when i applied at toefl score -
69)............for that you need to get minimum of
75.......or score of 80+ (where there is any section which
you scored is single digit or did not cross cut
off).............those english courses are offered for
these studends and i20 is sent on condition based on taking
english courses. "As you are aiming for mid level
universities..i.e tier 2 acording to US NEWS ranking" then
its really very tuff to get i20...........yes if you are
aiming for tier-3 or tier-4 Universities you will definetly
get i20.

if u finish ur studies faster,can i give u a restricted visa?
I have done my masters in anthropology and after that I worked for a year in NGO and i am again doing MS in sociology.So how can I show the connection between these two subject and with my job profile too?i have got an admission with a schlorship?so how can i build my confidence and eagerness showing I am really interested in this subject?

I'm from sri lanka. i applied to enter the Univercity of North texas for the next semester. i done it through a local person. he is the one who handled all the document things. after paying my tutuion fees he took 6 more months to give me a reply. fianlly he gave me this I-20. but i have a small quiz. that is i don't know he has paid the money to the univercity which i have given him. if not after arrving usa, i will get a big problem. how can i make sure that everything is ok and i got the I-20 because the payment is ok?

hey im from sri lanka.. last wk i had my f1 visa intrvw for fall 2009.but its rejcted under the 214-b. i dnt knw whatz the exact reason. visa officer ws a lady. and 1st she askd 4 my acedemic levels, then abt my college. and finalay abt my sponsor...whn i gave her the answer abt sponsor she rejected me. actualy my 2 uncles badly want me to study very well. they are sponsering me and my parents and i have my own money also, college need only 50000$ for entire degree and i have more than that. can anybody pls tell me what to do. i wish to apply again
