Example of Severety low and priority Urgent :
Suppose in yahoo site, the spelling of yahoo is yahu, so
many users are accessing this site daily and a spelling is
yahu so this is a urgent priority and low severty defect
because the impact of this defect is nothing on the
application but its an important defect and fixed
immediately.
Example of Severity Urgent and priority low.
Suppose i m having banking applicaation and there are some
calculation in one form on monthly basis.it means user
access this page once in a month, the impact is very high
on application coz of calculation mistakes but it can be
fixed in few days, its not a very important defect but
impact is very high, so its a high severity and low
priority defect.
Severity Urgent and Priority Urgent
Suppose i m having banking application and having
calculation mistakes on daily basis. Means users are
accessing this page daily. So impact is very high and its
an important defect also. This defect shud be fixed
immediately also. so its a high sev and high priority
defect.

first of all we need to know what is severity and
priority...
severity : how severe is the bug...
high : data loss,system crash,security breach
medium : loss of functionality,wrong output
low : spelling mistake,color mismatch..
priority : how visible is the bug...
high : very visible.Must be fixed immediately
medium : must be fixed before release
low : not easily visile,if fixed its ok or can be postponed
till next release.
severity low,priority low :
if in the thounsands of content on the web page there is a
spelling mistake in one or two words..
severity low,priority high :
misspelling in the logo of company
severity high,priority low :
web browser is supposed to handle 50 instances at a time
but after 55 instances system get crash...

is a security breach...
if the quality of print outs is getting affecetd then it is
bug with severity low,priority low else this not a bug at
all.....
