Aluminum and zinc do not react with concentrated nitric
acid since a thick, hard to dissolve oxidation layer builds
(passive oxidation) that protects the metal against further
assaults.

Alminimum does not react with metric acid at normal temperature but zinc reacts. Thus metric acid can be stored in aluminium container but not in zinc container
