A material can be extended to multiple Sales Org-
Distribution Channel. However not to multiple Sales Areas
with variant dicision. Division can only be ONE for an item.
To extend the item to a Sales Org+Dist Ch, Go to /mm01 and
input the new item number and the copy from Item number as
the same number.
FOr eg you have an item X in Sales Org 1+Dicst Ch 1+ Div1
go to mm01, type the item number X in the headre and also
as X in the Copy From feild > go to the organizational
level and input Plant, storage location, New Sales Org (Say
Sales Org 2), new DIst Ch (Say Dist Ch 2) and execute and
then save. The system does not allow you to change any
other details as you have already done that while creating
the item master for the first time.

Use ZMATEXD, enter the material part number and hit the WF-
Details button. In the Workflow processing section, tick
the boxes for "Don't initiate Operations workflow"
and "Don't initiate finance workflow" as this part would
have already gone through WF when part was created. In the
Organisational Data section, enter plant number, the sales
org number that you are extending too and the distribution
channel. Finally hit on the Start Workflow button.

sales area is a combination of s.org, dist channel &
division. division is a logical grouping of products. so u
cannot extend material to other sales areas. but u can
extend customer to other sales areas through common
distribution channel & division.
