When you enter a tcode, following activities happen at the backend :
1] If the tcode exist in the system or not. This is done by comparing the table entries in the table TSTC.
2] If the tcode is locked for the user or not [SM01]
3] If all the above the two conditions are right, then it checks if the user is authorized for the tcode or not. It's checked under Auth Object - S_TCODE, Fld = TCD.
The user must have an authorization with a value for the selected transaction code.

Any transaction that is built in SE93 is indefinitely associated to a report which defines the series of actions or the actual purpose of the listed transaction.The associated report in the backend defines the actions to be performed in the system when the associated transaction is called.
