meter
Answer / g. subrahmanyam
pH meter is basically a scale that tells us whether a
substance is an acid or a base. The pH scale is directly
proportional to OH(-) ion and inversely proportional to H(+)
ion. If the substance is acidic then its pH level will be less
than 7 and if it is basic then it will have a pH more than 7.
The pH electrode contains the following parts.
a. A reference electrode,
b. A glass electrode, whose potential depends on the
surrounding solution pH and,
c. Current meter, the meter can measure the resistance of
the circuit in a great small potential difference.
