Item 000001 in sales documents does not exist

Can u please rectify me where my fault is

please check in material master the strategy group should be MTO for the particular material

It Means an item does not available against particular sales document. It must be available in stock against specific sales order. Look at stock overview by CO09.

purchase order should be automatically raised in the sales order,for the number of materials which are being ordered to update the inventory..what r the settings to be done..
