it is not the correct thing in vov8 it is the proosed
delivery date means when you are creating sales order today
if you proposed delivery as 3 days in vov8 ,it starts for
delivery after three days. it isnot the requirement like theat
suppose the customer order 10pc on 29-0-82011
and he wants delivery on 02-09-2011 .
and one more thing to reach the goods from departure zone
to destination zone(customers place) it takes 2 days.
" now we have maintain transist time in route maintain this
when your defining the route"
example transist time is 2days
so now delivery will be planned accordingly
means customer wants on 02-092011 so we starts doing
delivery on 31-08-2011.delivery started on 31 08 2011 an it
reaches to the customers place on 02-09-2011

simple how system know means the main trigger point is we have to maintain
1.Pick/Pack time and
2.Loading time in "Shipping Point and route" also ,
3.Transport lead time
4.Transit Time we maintain in Roaute.
If stock is not available also maintain RLT time in Material MRP-3 View .
automatically system propose the delivery date and mainly here delivery scheduling will work like Backward /Forward Scheduling will work

We can change the settings in sales document i.e VoV8 and giving their lead time in days as 4 days and when we do pgi it will automatically take delivery after 4 days. and depending on that the backward or forward scheduling happens.
