Valuated Stock?

You cannot post a GR of non-valuated material direct into
consumption. You have to post the goods into the warehouse
first and then enter the goods issue. Also include
Returnable transport packaging, which is maintained as a
special stock.
Generally all the material are valuated with qty/value
update. Except NLAG– non value/stock material, direct post
to consumption a/c.

To put it in simple terms, valuated sales order stock
allows quantities and financial values to be posted
consistently during
inventory transactions in a make to order environment. This
allows the flow of material to be tracked both in finance
and in inventory management at the same time. In non-
valuated sales order stock you track the inventory
management flow, but all costs related to the manufacturing
process are controlled and posted separately (later)
through the sales order item settlement.

Valualed stocks are those which are valuated at your plant level
e.g. raw material, finished goods, etc. We have to assign a valuation class & respective G/L account to these materials.
Nonvaluated are those materials which are directly used for consumption which have very low value and are used in bulk like screws, pins, washers.
These materials are directly consumed to their respective cost centers.

This type of material is managed on a quantity basis, but
not on a value basis. This makes sense for materials of low
value, stocks of which nevertheless have to be monitored
(for example, operating manuals).
Non-stock material (NLAG) (Material Type NLAG):
Inventory management is not possible for these materials
either on a quantity or value basis. For frequently
required consumables, the use of this material type
nevertheless enables you to store the information required
to create
purchasing documents (such as texts and units of measure).
When a material is procured directly for consumption, no
material master record is necessary. In connection with
consumable materials, you can distinguish between the
following cases:
• Consumable material without material master record
• Consumable material with material master record that is
not subject to
inventory management (on either a quantity or value basis)
• Consumable material with material master record that is
subject to inventory management on a quantity, but not a
value, basis
