questions are 50 mathematics problems. It is suggested that
twice as much time be spent on each maths problem as for
each other question. How many minutes should be spent on
mathematics problems, plz give detail, how to solve?
Answer Posted / r.subha
total 200 questions, time duration 3 hours so,1 hour =60 min
so,3 hours=180 mins.
out of 200 questions 50 questions is maths question 150
question is other question.
if you spent x time for 150 question, you spent 2x time for
50 question
so, 50(2x)+150(x)=180
solve ,we got the x value ; x=18/25
150 question 150 x ,we have calculate 150 questions time
so 150(18/25)=108
then total time is 180, we had spent 108 minute for 150
question,so
180-108=72. remaining minute for 50 question is 72
