Question { 4773 }

1000 W bulb takes 4.16 Amps at 240 volt then what will be
the KWH & if i am using 1000 W bulb at 180 Volt the amps
will be 5.55 then what will be KWH????????????????

Answer

to find the no. of units consumed by the ulb u need to have
the time for which it was using this power...
power*time=energy
1kwh=1unit-> unit of energy

Question { 4190 }

How do we calculate the out Put voltage of generator, after
excitation being given?

Answer

In a synchronous generator according to its eq. ckt diagram
there's a simple eqn showing the relation between excitation
ad op voltage
E(excitation emf)- {I(armature current)*Z(synchronous
impedence))=V(terminal emf)

Question { 24249 }

If one lamp connect between two phases it will glow or not?

Answer

Assuming a general situation without any rating problems(
becoz like this many problems would be there)..and lamp
means a general incandescent lamp..
for all those moments when there is a voltage difference
between the two phases the lamp will glow with output lux
proportional to the magnitude of voltage difference.i.e.
what we are going to see is a sinusoidal variation in output
lux of the bulb. i.e. from 0lux to maximum then again to
zero and so on
that's it
