what will you do in Recording method?

Answer

We have a transaction SHDB to start recoding.
We will provide Recording Name
Transaction to be recoded.

after that we will provid data in every field and
if necessary write down the table and field name .
and selecting only those field which is required by us.
and after completion save it and back.

Then click program..
it will generate the program for what ever u have recorded.

what are the fields in BDC Data?

Answer

bdc data is having 5 field.

You can these information about any field by
just clicking the particular field
then Pressing F1 and after that clicking 'Techincal propery'

program name : name of the program.
dynpro: dyn = screen , pro = number.
every screen in sap having a specific dynpro.
dynbegin: 'X' shows the new screen
fname: name of the specific field in the screen
every field is having different field name
fval: value assigned to the field name .

2 . Session method.

1. In call transaction .
we use to upload the data by gui_upload.

and at last we write
call transaction 'trasaction name' using 'A'...

2. In Session method .
we uses three transactions

bdc_open_group.
bdc_insert.
bdc_close_group.

if we are uploading data from application server
open data set.
read / write data set.
close data set.

Internal table are of two type :
1 With Header Line
2 Without Header Line

With Header Line.
there is header attached to the table it use to
populate as well as retrive data from the internal table.

With out header Line.

We use work area..
same funcitions but the name is not same as internal table.

What is Table maintenance generator?

Answer

Table Maintence generator is used to Create,Change,Delete
the entries of the Table.

Procedure to create Table Maintence generator:
1) Go to SE11.
2) Enter the table name
3) Go to Utilities-> Select Table Maintenance generator
4) Provide Authorization Group,Functional Group,
Maintenance screen No.
5) Click Create.

After this you can work with entries of table in SM30.

Actually Hide is key word which we normally use in
interactive list.

if we want any field to be used in future after the basic
list .
or if there are lotz of field in the basic list that we are
not able to display in one time we make it under hide
statement ..
ex:
HIDE : kna1-kunnr.

if we click any record in the basic list At line selection
is called and we can display those hide field which we are
not able to display in basic list by just write statement.

what is the use of OK_CODE in BDC?

Answer

BDC_OK code stores all ok codes.
when data from non-sap or legacy to sap format ,
the data goes to the specific field on the screen and
when it is filled in that particular field we need to
press enter.
so ok_code do it automatically.

ok_code is basicaly the enter button.
