The minute and the hour hand meet 11 times in 12 hours in
normal watch i.e. they meet after every

= (12 * 60) / 11 minutes

Answer / rachit pant

In one hour , the minute hand will be 55 ticks ahead of hour
clock
(This is because the minute hand has travelled 60 ticks in
one hour , while the hour hand has travelled 5 ticks in that
time).

Both minute hand and hour hand will be together when minute
hand is 60 ticks ahead of hour hand.

In 60 minutes ->> 55 ticks ahead.
In ? minutes ->> 60 ticks ahead.

? = 60/55 * 60 = 65 5/11 = 65.454545 (ANS )

The minute and the hour hand of a watch meet every 65 minutes. How much does the watch lose or g..

Answer / oran

On our broken watch, the Hour and Minute hands meet every 65 minutes, which in a 12 hour period is 715 minutes (65*11).

On standard analog clock, the second hand and the minute had will meet every 65.45454545 minutes based on the (12*60)/11 formula; which for a 12 hour period is 720 minutes (65.45454545 * 11 ~or using our previous formula~ 12*60).

720 - 715 = 5 minutes for 12 hour period
In a 12 hour period our broken watch gains 5 minutes and will not be the same again for a long time to come.

Eleven boys and girls wait to take their seats in the same row in a movie theater. There are exactly 11 seats in the row. They decided that after the first person sits down, the next person has to sit next to the first. The third sits next to one of the first two and so on until all eleven are seated. In other words, no person can take a seat that separates him/her from at least one other person. How many different ways can this be accomplished? Note that the first person can choose any of the 11 seats.
