To become a Chartered Accountant (CA) in India, you need to follow the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's (ICAI) course structure:
1. Foundation Course (IPC): It is a bridging course for students who have not completed 10+2 level education.
2. Intermediate (IPC + IPCC): This course consists of Group I and Group II, which focus on accounting, auditing, business laws, taxation, and information technology.
3. Final Course: The final stage includes modules such as Advanced Accounting, Corporate Laws, Taxation, and Information Systems Control and Audit.n
To begin the CA course in Madurai, you can visit the ICAI website (www.icai.org) to find a list of recognized institutions offering regular classes. Alternatively, you can apply directly to the ICAI for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT), which is the entry-level examination to join the CA course.
