I think that the results of the PO exams in SBI,
for the main held in september for which pre were held on
27.7.08 and also for the pre held on 12.10.08 is not yet
declared. so just don't worry.

also the salary is assumed to be revised in near future but
it;s not yet sure.

so take ur decision acccordingly.

don't worry the main exams wud b similar to the pre except
an english paper wud b included and may be GK wud b
excluded i m not oo sure abt the GK part but i wud b able
to tell u tomorrow,

Hi Tarun,

I need a clarification from u.

Is there any way for increasing the salary like writing the
increemental exams?

I have heard that there will be increemental exams and if
we cleared that we will get more salary.

Do u know anything about this increemental exam?

I have heard that within 2 to 3 yrs we can reach officer
grade by writing exams. Is it possible.

Pls clarify my doubts.

Hi,
Yes u r right. After 2 years there will be exams. We can
get promotion.It will take 15 years time to become a senior
manager.

Yes its very true dis job got good promotion scope.
I hv also sat for 12.10.2008 P.O.exam, dint received any
noification abt result.
Is there anyone whoz preparing for other private bank exams?
Like AXIS BANK. I have cleared the written. Can any1 tell
me abt the interview type of it???

Hi Lavanya,

Thx for ur reply. One more clarification needed, We can
take the exams only after 2 years or there is any exams
within 1 year.

If we can take exam only after 2 yrs means the salary will
be around 8000 only for 2 yrs.

U can appear for internal promotion exam after every 3
years.

Dear all,

Its sure that the take home salary during the probation
period, (6 months) is 7600, and after that , the salary
would be hiked to 9,000 rupees.

Banks has a separate strategy similar to the pay comissions,
that is done by consulting with the unions. News is that the
revisions for the pay will happen by the second quarter of
2009. When that happens, your basic pay would jump by about
40%. In that case, you are most likely to draw a salary of
Rs. 13,000.

And Departmental exams, are held every year, but it is
possible to write those exams only after two years in
service. And after 2 years, when you write that, still the
promotions would be given based on the seniority only, as
many others would have also cleared the departmental exams.
Such a bottleneck situation arises when there are more
persons who passed the exam and fewer posts. As a rule, in
any sector, going up the hierarchy, the number of posts
decreases.

Another news is that about 80% of the staff in state bank
would retire by 2012, so we have tremendous opportunity to
grow to higher posts.

i dont know if you all have noticed or not.but we should no
hide any details.that is why i wrote that i have attended
po exams this year twice.so what do you friends think about
it?has anybody else written the same thing?

I m totally confused on the discussion abt the salary.
Could anyone clear me wat the figure seen below indicates.
wat's the meaning of 215/3, 335/3 470/4..........

As i saw before in this forum, one of us had told that
/# indicates "year" . Is it true???Please someone clarify
this.

hI ALL THIS IS aTUL FROM kASHIPUR uTTARKHAND AGAIN, and I am frustrated by SBI's laziness. When will the result for SBI CLERK 2009 INTERVIEW be declared? CRPD people are telling that result will be declared by September 1st week hope it will come before that but no indication regarding this from SBI officially. I just wanted to suggest something to all SBI CLERK ASPIRANTS let us all start an EMAIL MOVEMENT by writing more and more mails to crpd@sbi.co.in on daily basis regarding to declaration of result result mentioning that they should at least declare the tentative dates published on sbi.co.in please do it u all there is no benefit of sitting idle and waiting for result lets do something itni mail karo ka vo bhi feel kare k how desperate we are about the result? Whats u r say?

hi this is sonu. i got selected in both sbh and dena bank as clerck.. which one is better.. i live in mumbai..very few branches of sbh in mumbai. i dont want to leave mumbai.. what do u suggest??
